Over the past 20 years Turf Specialties have helped us carry out some of the more critical aerification procedures required here at Champions Golf Club. Any time the word goes out that an aerification is scheduled the membership go up in arms and the comments typically are, ” The greens are perfect, can’t believe you are tearing them up again!” After hearing that gut wrenching comment the last thing we need is a screw up during aerification.

We have been using Turf Specialties for our deep tine aerification needs on both fairways and greens for a number of years. The years that we had the deep tine aerification done on our fairways (which are iron ore clay); the benefits have been numerous, with improved drainage topping the list. Better drainage not only leads to a better root system and a healthier plant, but also helps the course dry out faster after a rain event, which in turn keeps the members happy because they can get back on the course quicker. The deep tine on the greens also has been a major contributor to our success. The spring time aerification really helps fracture the entire greens profile to give those roots a chance to start digging deep before the heat of summer is upon us. The Turf Specialties team is always very professional and makes sure the job was done to our satisfaction and that we are happy before they leave the property.
